Slow relationship building activities for startups

Recently, I got looped in a trip that requires a hefty investment without a clear path yet to financial ROI BUT with an obvious clear path to what we call the RORI -- "return on relationship investment".
When I think about it, I had the same experience with investing in my podcast Wicked Thoughts Podcast and my long-stay trips to Manila at the start of this year. All of which had huge returns for me and our startup at ContentDash.
I was able to run a community event, close customers, get leads, plus raise angel investments because of these slow-burn efforts that all lead to returns for my startup.
Therefore, do not discount the power of slow relationship building activities. This is where you separate the girls from the women. The higher the stakes, the higher the returns. The slower the burn, the bigger chance you're giving yourself to gain roots.
Realizing the power of serendipity through these activities is like acknowledging the power of gravity. Even if you do not see the target eye to eye, the bullet will still hit the ground.
